Primary Industrial Service

Availability:

Available for commercial and industrial lighting and power uses having an established measured demand of 500 KW or more.

Type of Service:

Three-phase at available primary voltages.  Metered for demand, energy and var-hour.  The consumer shall either own and maintain all equipment on the load side of the system connection or may rent secondary transformation from the District at $0.90 per KVA per month, in which case, the District will maintain such transformers.

Monthly Rate:

Basic Charge: Demand minimum
Energy Charge: $0.04226/KWH 
Demand Charge: $2500/Mo for the first 500 
KW or less. All over 500 KW
@ $3.28 per KW
Minimum Charge: Demand minimum billing
plus any extension policy
requirements
 

Minimum Annual Charge:

The minimum annual charge shall be sufficient to assure adequate compensation for the facilities installed to serve the consumer.  In no event shall it be less than twelve times the minimum monthly demand charge.

Determination of Billing Demand:

The billing demand shall be the maximum average kilowatt load used by the consumer for any period of thirty (30) consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered as indicated or recorded by a demand meter.

Power Factor Adjustment:

The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable.  The demand for billing purposes will be adjusted for power factors less than 97% lagging if the District's supplier levies a similar power factor adjustment.  Such adjustments will be made by increasing the billing demand by 1% for each 1% which the power factor is lagging 97%.

New Large or Increased Loads:

A "New Large Single Load" means any load associated with a new facility, an existing facility, or an expansion of an existing facility which will result in an increase in power requirements of ten (10) average megawatts or more in any consecutive 12-month period.  Such "New Large Single Loads" shall not be served under this rate schedule.

Wholesale Power Cost Adjustment:

The energy charge component of this rate schedule may be increased to cover any wholesale power cost adjustment levied against the District by its power supplier.
