Large Power Service

Availability:

Available for commercial, industrial and other lighting and power uses having an established measured demand of 50 KW or more.  Application requirements, once established, may be waived only by action of the Board of Commissioners of the District.  Subject to the District's established rules and regulations.

Type of Service:

Sixty-cycle, alternating current, single phase or multi-phase at available primary or secondary voltages.  Metered for demand and energy.

Monthly Rate:

Basic Charge: Demand minimum billing
Energy Charge: $0.05009 per KWH
Demand Charge: $250.00 per month for the
first 50 KW or less.
Secondary voltage: $3.57
per KW for each additional
KW
Minimum Charge: Demand minimum billing
plus any extension policy
requirements

Minimum Annual Charge for Seasonal Service:

Consumers requiring service only during certain seasons may guarantee a minimum annual charge, in which case there will be no minimum monthly charge.  The minimum annual charge shall be sufficient to assure adequate  compensation for the facilities installed to serve the consumer.  In no event shall it be less than twelve times the minimum monthly demand charge.

Determination of Billing Demand:

The billing demand shall be the maximum average kilowatt load used by the consumer for any period of thirty (30) consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered as indicated or recorded by a demand meter.

Wholesale Power Cost Adjustment:

The energy charge component of this rate schedule may be increased to cover any wholesale power cost adjustment levied against the District by it's power supplier.
