In Loving Memory:

It is with great sadness that I inform you that Ferry County PUD employee Bill Knutz was killed while cutting trees on the morning of March 26th.

Knutz, a lineman and the District's Serviceman, was 37 and lived in Malo with his wife Patti and sons William and Andrew.  Our hearts go out to his wife and sons and parents Bill and Sherry Knutz, also of Malo.

We are heartbroken that we have lost a valued employee and friend who was highly dedicated.  Bill worked for the Utility since 1999.  This is the first time in the history of the Utility that we have experienced an accident of this magnitude involving an employee.

Friends of Billy Knutz have established two Memorial Funds for Billy's sons William G. Knutz III and Andrew G. Knutz.  If you are interested in helping these two young men, deposits may be made to their accounts at any Bank of America Branch.

On behalf of the PUD Staff we would like to say "Thank you" for all the kind words, and cards we received through this difficult time.  We are truly blessed to have such supportive and compassionate friends.
